how to pray for campus oregon

How to pray for Campus Oregon:

-Pray for God to grow a heart in students to pray and to read the Bible daily, and for courage and obedience to be able to love people who oppose Oregon students that are believers.
-Pray for favor and open doors in secular universities that are opposed to prayer and for prayer rooms to start on those campuses.
-Pray for spiritual mentors for students.
-Pray for God to work out every detail so that a prayer room opens at Eugene Bible College soon. (Update: it's up & running, so praise God for this answer!)
-Pray God continues to inspire students at the University of Oregon and show them how to combine their hearts, prayers and actions to combat human trafficking in their region and beyond.
-Pray God will continue to help students at Oregon State to reach out to minorities.

This list of prayer points was part of an article published in December on the Campus America website. To read the story, click here.

catch like fire

Sometime in the spring of 2009, Oregon got on board with Campus America's vision for a year of unbroken prayer on college & university campuses in 2010. Since then when some of us have gathered together to pray we've sensed a recurring theme. It's God's fire.

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

Hebrews 12:28-29

From one student's passion for Jesus to another's, may it catch like fire, igniting people who weren't expecting encounters with God, all over Oregon & the nation. May devotion to Jesus consume us.

Father, for the students in Oregon who know you, give them strength & courage to be light in the darkness. Help us remember it's your unshakable kingdom first; it's about you. Let true worship spill out of us, because you are awesome.
